How Much Does iPhone Screen Repair Cost in the UK? (2025)
A straightforward guide to iPhone screen repair costs in the UK — by model, what affects the price, and what to look out for when choosing a repair shop.
A cracked iPhone screen is one of the most common repair jobs we see at MTM IT. It’s also one of the most frequently misunderstood in terms of pricing — costs vary significantly by model, and the range of quotes you’ll find online can be bewildering.
This guide gives you straightforward pricing for the UK market, explains what drives the difference in cost, and tells you what to ask when choosing a repair shop.

What Affects the Price?
The model. Newer iPhones use more expensive display technology — OLED screens with ProMotion or always-on features cost more to source than older LCD panels. iPhone 16 Pro parts are simply more expensive than iPhone 11 parts.
The parts quality. This is the biggest variable you’ll encounter:
- OEM parts are original Apple-manufactured displays, typically sourced from authorised channels. These give the best result but cost more.
- Premium aftermarket parts are high-quality reproductions that closely match the original in terms of colour accuracy, touch sensitivity and brightness. A reputable shop should use these as a minimum.
- Cheap aftermarket parts are low-quality screens that often look washed out, have poor touch responsiveness, and can fail prematurely. Some unscrupulous repairers charge OEM prices for these.
Always ask what grade of parts a repairer uses.
Apple vs third-party. An Apple Store Genius Bar repair uses original Apple parts and will be the most expensive option — typically 30–50% more than a quality independent repairer. Apple’s Independent Repair Programme (IRP) allows some independents to use genuine Apple parts at slightly lower prices.
What to Look Out For
Is there a warranty? Any reputable shop should offer at least a 90-day warranty on screen repairs. At MTM IT, we offer 12 months.
Do they use quality parts? Ask explicitly. If the price seems too low to be true, it usually is — and you’ll pay again when the cheap screen fails.
Is it really a fixed price, or will it change? Some shops advertise low prices and then add on costs after they’ve taken your phone apart. Ensure the quote includes parts, labour and VAT with no hidden extras.
What about Face ID? Poor-quality screen replacements or bad repairs can damage Face ID functionality. This is a common problem with non-specialist repairers. We take care to preserve Face ID on every iPhone screen repair.
