Camera Repair — FAQs

My photos are blurry — is it the camera lens?

Blurry photos have a few possible causes. First, try cleaning the camera glass gently with a dry cloth — fingerprints and smears are the most common culprit. If images remain blurry, particularly if autofocus seems to stick or hunt, it's likely an internal lens or module issue. Bring it in for a free diagnostic and we'll identify the cause.

Can you replace just the camera glass without replacing the whole module?

In most cases, yes — if the camera glass (the protective lens cover on the back of the phone) is cracked but the camera itself still functions, we can replace the glass rather than the full module. This is significantly cheaper. If the module itself is damaged, we'll advise on the full cost before starting work.

My front camera is blurry or distorted — what's wrong?

Front camera issues are often caused by a dislodged or damaged selfie camera module, or Face ID damage from a screen repair done elsewhere. We'll diagnose the exact fault and advise on the repair options. We're particularly careful to preserve Face ID functionality during any front assembly work.

How much does camera repair cost?

Camera glass replacement starts from £39. Full camera module replacement starts from £59 for most phones, £65 for iPads. MacBook camera repairs vary by model. The exact price is confirmed after the free diagnostic.

How long does a camera repair take?

Most camera glass replacements and module swaps take 1–3 hours at our Tiverton workshop. We'll give you an accurate estimate when you bring your device in.

Where can I get a phone camera repair near Tiverton?

At our Tiverton workshop on West Exe South, usually within 1–3 hours by appointment. We also repair cameras on call-out across Cullompton, Crediton, Wellington and the wider Mid Devon area.

Do you fix the camera on Samsung and Google Pixel phones?

Yes — as well as iPhone, we repair rear and front cameras and cracked camera glass on Samsung Galaxy, Google Pixel and most other Android phones. Bring it in for a free diagnostic and we'll confirm whether it's the glass or the module.

Will replacing the camera glass affect my phone's water resistance?

We reseal the camera area during reassembly to restore as much of the original water resistance as possible. No third-party repair can guarantee a factory IP rating, but careful resealing with fresh adhesive gets it close — and we'll always tell you honestly what to expect for your model.
