Samsung Galaxy screen repairs are slightly more involved than iPhone repairs — largely because Samsung uses more complex display assemblies and has tight integration between the screen and features like the in-display fingerprint sensor. Here’s what you need to know before booking.

How Much Does Samsung Galaxy Screen Repair Cost?

Prices vary significantly by model. As a guide:

ModelScreen Repair From
Galaxy S25 Ultra£179
Galaxy S25 / S25+£139–£159
Galaxy S24 Ultra£169
Galaxy S24 / S24+£129–£149
Galaxy S23 series£109–£149
Galaxy A55 / A54£89–£99
Galaxy Z Fold series£229–£249
Galaxy Z Flip series£179–£199

The Z Fold and Z Flip models use foldable OLED panels which are more complex and expensive to replace.

What Parts Do You Use?

There are three grades of Samsung screen commonly used in repairs:

Genuine Samsung OLED: The original Samsung-manufactured screen. These give the best result — identical colour profile, brightness, and full fingerprint sensor compatibility. More expensive to source.

Service Pack / OLED compatible: High-quality screens that closely replicate the original in performance. Used by many reputable repairers and generally give excellent results.

LCD conversions: Some budget repairers replace OLED screens with LCD equivalents. These are noticeably different — lower brightness, worse contrast, and typically incompatible with the in-display fingerprint sensor. We don’t use these.

At MTM IT, we use genuine Samsung parts or premium OLED replacements, never LCD conversions on OLED models.

What About the In-Display Fingerprint Sensor?

Samsung Galaxy S and recent A series phones use an optical in-display fingerprint sensor that’s embedded in (or closely integrated with) the OLED screen. A quality screen replacement preserves fingerprint sensor functionality. A poor-quality or incompatible replacement may not.

This is one reason to be cautious about very cheap Samsung screen repairs — it’s often a sign of parts quality compromises.

Does Screen Repair Affect Samsung Pay?

Samsung Pay and Samsung Wallet are linked to the device, not the screen. Provided the repair is done correctly with compatible parts, Samsung Pay will continue to work normally after a screen replacement.

How Long Does It Take?

Samsung S series phone screens typically take 1–2 hours at our Tiverton workshop. Z Fold and Z Flip repairs are more complex and may take 2–3 hours.

Is There a Warranty?

Yes — all Samsung screen repairs at MTM IT come with our 12-month warranty. If the screen develops a fault within 12 months through normal use, we replace it at no charge.
